A sculptural washbasin carved from a single block of figured stone, designed as the centrepiece of a private bathroom in Milan.
Concept
The basin began as one solid block, hollowed and rounded by hand until the veining wraps the whole vessel like a shell. Warm travertine walls and brass fittings stay quiet around it, so the stone carries the room.
